Train to Bruges

From Brussels Airport (most of the regular airlines)
=> The train station is at the underground level of Brussels Airport
=> Take the train to 'Gent Sint-Pieters' or 'Brussels South'
=> In both cases, change in Brussels South (after +/- 20 minutes)
=> In Brussels South, take the train to 'Oostende' or 'Knokke'
=> Get out of the train at 'Brugge'
=> The trip takes about 1,5 h

From Charleroi Airport (Brussels South, cheap Ryanair flights)
=> 2 possibilities: train to 'Ostende' or train to 'Anvers-Central'
=> If you take the train to 'Ostende', you have a direct connection to Bruges
=> If you take the train to 'Anvers-Central', you should change at Brussels South
=> If you change at Brussels South, take direction 'Oostende' or 'Blankenberge'
=> Get out of the train at 'Brugge'
=> The trip takes about 2,5 h

From Lille Lesquin Airport (usually more expensive flights)
=> Take the train to 'Lille Flandres'
=> Change in 'Lille Flandres' and choose direction 'Bruges'
=> Get out of the train at 'Brugge'
=> The trip takes 2 to 3 hours (depending on the changing time)

All other directions
=> Always take 'Oostende' (French: 'Ostende', English: 'Ostend') if possible
=> Bruges (Dutch: 'Brugge') is the last stop before 'Oostende'
=> You can always change to 'Oostende' in:
- Brussels (North, South or Central)
- Gent Sint-Pieters
- Kortrijk
=> As Belgium is pretty small, you'll always find one of the above, and probably even pass one of them

Once in Bruges

Go outside the train station and go to the bus stop
=> Take bus 14 (each 20 minutes, direction: Station - Centrum - Sint-Jozef)
=> Always ask the bus driver to stop and warn you at 'Het Entrepot'
=> The trip takes about 20 minutes and goes right through the historical city of Brugge
=> Once arrived, you'll see the signs to Chapter 2 (a few minutes walking)
